Why the inner child?

Or: Why everything will turn out alright in the end

Michael Berger 01.01.2026

It’s a symbol for something that’s still there and that connects us all. Everyone was once a child, or still is. Life was different back then. It was only about truly important things: life itself, adventure, friendship, oneness with nature, learning to live—natural things. He has

The inner child – not just a symbol

And it’s certainly more than a symbol. This state of affairs is still there… just hidden. Think back to your own life. What was it like again? As a child, you were an accepted child. There was no reason to be anything else. Then, at age 10, the questions from relatives started: Do you already know what you want to be when you grow up? In materially poor countries, this started much earlier, and you apparently had to do whatever was available.

The price tag on life

It’s usually all about making money. Because we fools have actually put a price tag on life. See also the blog “Subdue the Earth.” This is the opposite of how life really is. We know this, and yet we keep making this senseless compromise, step by step. Everyone else is doing it, and society seems satisfied when we go along with it. Following your own path, staying true to your inner child, can be frightening and lonely. Taking out your first loan is considered a milestone in Western societies.

The journey continues – capitalism zombie or saint?

I now try to be a strong motivator for people to first take an extended trip and work along the way, for at least a year. This allows the desire and the calling to mature within. If, afterward, one still wants to jump on the capitalist bandwagon, at least one will have gained unique experiences and might not be so quick to step over dead bodies. My hope is certainly that this will lead to more and more people pursuing a career as saints.

No inner child, no halo.

The word “holy” comes from “whole,” “complete.” It is not a religious word. It describes a state of wholeness or even naturalness. Jesus: “Become like little children, and the kingdom of heaven is yours.” It is therefore perfectly logical that without this return to one’s core being, one goes through the world’s events, both big and small, with only one eye, one ear, a blocked nose, and hands tied behind one’s back.

So why Inner Child now?

English is still the global language. In the future, there will likely be other languages as well. Feel free to leave a comment or send an email about it. So, Inner Child: everyone has this inner source; it’s incredibly fun to embrace childlike wonder, and with this genuine, unadulterated love, energy, innocence, and wisdom, we can quickly transform our world into a fantastic place for everyone. In 10 years, we would have already set the new course. It will only be truly sacred, and therefore genuinely good and lasting, if we include all life! This also means no more suffering or killing of animals.

Why on the T-shirt?

It’s simply an invitation to reflect. And if anyone feels a surge of excitement and wants to express it, or simply feel a little more complete, these designs can be ordered. That’s all there is to it. Please feel free to create your own artwork if you’d like, or let me know your request.

What is the deal with the “political” inner children?

Wouldn’t it be great if the presidents of Russia, the USA, China, and all other countries governed according to their inner child? Just imagine what that would mean for Germany, for example. 😊This realignment would simultaneously render the political system obsolete. Two birds with one stone. But I imagine the inner child isn’t exactly a topic of conversation in presidential palaces and chancellorships right now. Imagine if they suddenly received a T-shirt like that, or saw it on social media or at an event. I could easily imagine that it would at least elicit a few chuckles.

So, have fun!

Yours truly, Michael
